I've always wondered
Mind blown that there are countries whose cars don't have rear fog lights. Rear fog lights are brighter red lights that can be turned on independently of your normal rear lights, thus increasing your visibility to people driving behind you when there is fog. Unless you guys think that being hit on the rear, is only a problem to those crashing on you. Hazard lights are fine and dandy, but in poor light conditions, you can't always easily tell if the car with hazard lights on is traveling in the same direction.
I already knew that.
Just came to say I didn't know.
I want to know why there isn't a 3wheel f1 car
Don't ever praise the FIA they have killed the sport. Make a video about that!
Rear Fog Lights?????????????? WTF are you talking about fog lights are on the front of the car the yellow ones
I'm gonna be honest, I didn't KNOW but I was correct that it was the driver's knowing the braking distances
i didnt know.
One word answer why your wrong: MUGELLO! Best drivers in the world distracted by a light, don't think SO.
Tf is wrong with you
Fun fact, on a certain sports car there may or may not be someone who has installed a switch on a steering wheel that can activate the brake lights independently of the actual application of the brakes themselves. ;)
Why don't the Williams cars have reversing lights?
rear fogs lol tf ? or just the hazards
Rear fog lights??
and the question is not answered?
Who brakes looses, that's why you don't need brake-lights
I reckon that given the option the designers said no, we don’t really need the extra weight or power consumption of brake lights and the drivers said it’s nobodies business when I brake, if they can’t see it stop rolling I’m not about to help them. F1 is raced in open wheelers so wheels are almost always easily seen ( the exception is when they come off and bounce up ) ....
That jab at ferrari with the tractor... I see what you did
Why f1 car breaks are too hard..?
So LMP1 cars don’t no?
I already knew that of course, just clicked to write this
Thank you. I didn't know that
“Unless you’re driving a really terrible F1 car” SF1000: Allow me introduce myself
OmG i KnOw ThE aNsWeR!!!! ThAt MeAnS eVeRyOnE kNoWs tOOoO!!111!! /s
fr tho, it's annoying seeing those kinda people on videos similar to explaining something
Matt: Brake lights are distracting Also Matt: Flashing lights that indicate that the car ahead is harvesting power is actually really useful
"The rear lights are used as head lights from the car ahead" Lewis Hamilton in first: 😢👍
Question: what is the point of the teeny tiny windscreen on the F1 cars? They're not tapered and don't cover a drivers hands when turning so presumably not for aerodynamics?
Breaking points are literally different between every car including cars of the same teams even though it’s only a fractional difference
Why there's no F1 car in public road?
No gud answer
I think it could be used in a cheeky way as well. I mean if I was a racer ahead of you and felt intimidated by you I could essentially brake check you by applying very light pressure on my brake. Only enough to bring the light on and prevent you from accelerating.
Most stupid video I've watched they do have break light's
why did you make this video and Why is the title why don't F1 cars have brake lights? When they clearly do F1 CARS DO HAVE BREAK LIGHTS
I thought it was not to provide info to the potential late braker running behind.
There’s a reason why out of 7.5 billion of us, there’s only 20 of them 😏
What about LMP1 cars and prototypes in general ... They're just as fast as a F1 car and they do have brake lights ... And is not a distraction apparently ....
When he shoed the slow "F1 car", he should have shown a 2020 ferrari..
I think is is tactics
I did not know why, thats why I watched the Video... 😉
1:13 is that a ferrari
F1 cars drive faster than the speed of light so they don’t need brake lights because it wouldn’t work. next video why don’t f1 cars have a horn? Because they drive faster than the speed of sound (sonic booms). :p
Why F1 cars dont have roofs ?
Why are F1 Cars no Hovercrafts
I'm sry 2 comment this but 1000th comment 😂😂😅
"unless you're driving a really terrible f1 car" shows Ferrari
Why F1 cars have steering wheel?
1:13 is that a ferrari?
Ye
brake lights are dead weight tht makes them slower
ok cool video dude
They should do like the two wheel guys and get rid of mirrors too.
Brake lights in f1 are for signaling for pizza
Formula video + listening to the music I like (Delta Parole, Metallica and other) make me feel the speed and excitement!
And forgot to mention...A braking light probably cause accidents when the drivers begin to manage as a trick to slow their opponents
Weight reduction.
because the cars go faster than light
What’s a rear fog light? ;)
Never knew the answer to this peculiar question, seems straight forward but still I never knew it.
i could see brake lights being useful in case of oil spills, crashes or a part detaching or any obstacle on the track. in case the car has to brake in a part of the track they normally wouldn't brake at
1:12 *cough cough* williams
1:12 Ferrari be like....
It's a 3 minute video, but for those impatient ones, here's the TL;DR: - Cars brake so fast from such high speeds it wouldn't matter if you saw a brake light or not, you'd just crash into the back of them anyways. Besides being useless, it also saves weight.
😐I don't care about your comment section. just get into the topic in your title please.
Answer : because they don't
I already knew the answer
"The FIA is all about safety" And ruining everyone's fun by banning anything innovative the millisecond it's introduced.
@FaceFirst *NO!!!*
So you want them to die? Man it's also fun when it's safe. That's so childish
Disaster
Why don't F1 cars have headlights?
I already know the answer to this, jk, I'm actually interested lol
I ALREADY KNEW THIS!!!
Brake lights are heavy.
Noom
I already know that
Yeah I had no idea why so thank you for the video LOL
What are rear fog lights?
I don't agree. I think brake lights would be very useful in some situations, which occur relatively often. Or let's say, not a braking light but a foot-off-throttle light. It's not about braking in the braking zones, but braking when nobody is expecting it. Take the 2020 race in Portugal for instance, how the back field didn't expect the drivers infront to be braking. It would also be great in practice and qualifying, to signal overtaking cars that you're aware of them and driving off pace.
One other important reason is the regulation... Everything is about the regulation ... For instance, If it wasn't mandatory on GT, they wouldn't have brake lights ! (As in tourism cars)
"we dont need brakes, they'll only slow us down" -someone probably
they dont have break lights for the same reason Nascar Cup cars do not have break lights, cause the track is always LIT
I have a reason in my head but I just watch to see if there was another thing I didn’t consider. Will edit comment to show if I was right or wrong. Edit: nah i was right.
They should have break lights to show the fans what is happening. It would be nice to see how different drivers/cars brake for a corner. F1 really needs to do more for the fans. No fans= no F1
It would still be nice to have brake lights for the fans to see who is braking first, late, how far into the corner etc and be a tool for commentators to dissect how a move was completed etc.
Why f1 Don't have brake light? Wasting battery.
Can you explain how qualifying works in terms of tyre sets and then how that affects race strategy?
Why don't F1 cars have cup holders ? :)
duh isnt it obious awready
It raises another questions. Why other circuit race cars HAS brake lights? Like touting cars and GT cars.
Thanks
Cool bro I actually didn't know this
next episode: "why f1 cars don't have turn signals"
what would lewis do in a rainy? he cannot depend on the rearlight of another car. plot twist lewis is lapping the other drivers.
1:14 Ferrari’s new F1 shots
Brake testing...
in my shitty country, people use their fog lights (rear and front) all of the mf time; and there's almost never any fog, and there's no fine or anything from the 'popo'. And is really annoying, but those people are just idiots.
I already know the answer...
The FIA is the reason this sport sucks.
Next video: Why don't f1 cars have blinkers
0:39 . you are welcome.
This is just a stupid question. Does nobody realise these aren't anywhere near road-legal? So why would the FIA ever need to consider putting brake lights on these? Dumb question, almost pointless for a video. WTF1 is getting too big for its boots nowadays.
why am I seeing SF1000 on 1:13 ?
Why dont f1 cars have normal lights,or atleast lights that you could attach and detach
